Please take the time to discover what our club has to offer, and the activities we sponser every year. Our club at the present time has a membership of 146 members in good standing and we are still growing!

The Port O' Morgan Boat Club is located in beautiful Southeastern Ohio, along the Historic
Muskingum River. This river has the only hand operated lock system still in operation in North
America. The river consists of a series of 10 navigational pools, which were created by building 11
dams with locks in 1841. This system was important in facilitating the opening of the new frontier
in North America. Lock #1 was removed when the Ohio River was dammed.

Purpose:
The purpose of the Port O' Morgan Boat Club shall be the promotion of boating and aquatic sports,
boating safety, the cultivation of sociability among its members and the improvement of the Muskingum
River watershed and other waters for boating purposes.
